Coronavirus Case In Ibadan Oyo state
A case of this disease is under observation in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital While the world continues to find answers to the Coronavirus.
The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Bashir Bello, in an interview with journalists in Ibadan on Wednesday, made this publication. Bello disclosed the suspected case is currently being tracked in Ibadan. He said that the man, in his 50s, visited the Bodija area of Ibadan from the United Kingdom, has been isolated for the past four days.
“The UK returnee living in Ibadan had a fever spike of 37.9 celsius along with his blood sample was then taken to Lagos COVID-19 testing facility (NCDC).”Bello said the case was being observed closely and the result of the blood test is supposed to arrive on Thursday (tomorrow).
He remembered that two other cases had previously been reported using their evaluation results.”We have information on the case and it is being tracked.”The person is on isolation and blood sample has been collected. The end result isn’t out yet but should be out later tomorrow”.
Bello pleaded with the residents of the state to adhere to hygienic measures to prevent an epidemic in the state. People returning to the country from nations with the continuing COVID-19 epidemic to self-isolate themselves under supervision for a period of 14 days before going out or mixing with the general public were urged by him.
