Chinese restaurant which does not serve Nigerians sealed
The Nigerian government on Saturday sealed Haufei Restaurant & Mall for what some people have known as racism.
The restaurant can be found in highbrow Victoria Island, Lagos.
The owners were reported to authorities for denying Nigerians the services of theirs.
The Federal Consumer and Competition Protection Commission (FCCPC), in a Twitter post, said the employees of the restaurant confirmed they don’t sell to Nigerians.
They mentioned further reported it was really a laid down rule by the company.
A tweet by the government agency reads: Today, FCCPC closed Haufei Restaurant & Mall thirty-three Aboyade Cole, VI based on credible intel & surveillance which the biz declines service to Nigerians.
Staff members of the biz admitted this is the policy & our operatives experienced very same. Both currently closed for more regulatory action.
Nigerians are condemning the action as well as demanding that correct sanctions be slammed on Haufei Restaurant & Mall.

An estranged housewife, Hadijat Yusuf, on Friday prayed a Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan, to dissolve her ten-year-old marriage to Rasheed, over alleged threat to melt her alive.
The mom of 2, a business owner, explained that the husband of hers that accused her of infidelity also threatened to burn up the house of her.
The petitioner, who resides in Apata area in Ibadan, told the court that she now lives in fear from her husband’s repeated threats.
Only several years to the union of ours, I realized that Rasheed was stalking me and would beat me when he suspects me of developing an affair.
In reality, I’d a miscarriage after he beat me up, she told the court.
She told the court that she purchased the home they each reside in from the N24 million she inherited from her late dad.
The petitioner told the court which Rasheed was an opportunist that became very slack after watching the cash with her.
The husband, however, opposed the suit, questioning all of the allegations.
Rasheed, an Engineer, argued he still loved the wife of his dearly and it wasn’t accurate that he usually beats her.
The one time I wrongly injured Hadijat, was when I caught her with a lover in the matrimonial house of ours.
Hadijat’s secret lover later got me arrested, Rasheed said.
Also, he worried the home in question was collectively built by them.
The court’s President, Chief Ademola Odunade, dissolved the union and also awarded custody of the 2 kids to the petitioner.
He ordered Rasheed to pay N10, 000 monthly upkeep for the kids.
